In the best Lexus tradition, the ES delivers traditional luxury, coddling passengers with a smooth ride and a swanky, leather-swathed cabin. The ES appeals to a wide range of buyers; its Camry-based power trains include a 268-hp 3.5-liter V-6 with a six-speed automatic for zippy performance. There is a hybrid model as well: It teams a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a CVT with electric motors for a combined 200 hp.
